Raise a glass to Galicia’s unique wine culture.

Galicia isn’t just about beaches and green hills—it’s also home to some of Spain’s most exciting wines. Two standouts that we’ve grown to love are Albariño and Mencía.

  • Albariño – Crisp, aromatic, and slightly salty, this white wine comes from the Rías Baixas region. It pairs perfectly with seafood and is refreshing on a warm afternoon. Local vineyards often offer tastings and tours, making it easy to learn more (and enjoy a glass with a view).

  • Mencía – A lesser-known red that’s light, fruity, and perfect with tapas. It’s grown in the Ribeira Sacra and Bierzo areas, and you can find excellent bottles in local shops and restaurants for great value.

Whether you’re sipping Albariño on a sunny terrace or enjoying a Mencía by the fire, these wines are part of what makes Galicia so special. And with so many local producers nearby, you’re always close to something worth trying.
